just got word that my sister died.
she had surgery for heart valve replacement about 5 weeks ago, and when they opened her up for it they found cancer.
we had an extra special relationship since i was her "birthday present" when she turned 10 in 1951. this is my second sibling to die of cancer in 14 months..
My condolences for you and your family Poppers.

only scanned,,couple articles on necessary on having a old-age long-term plan now.
reality is hitting them more than ever.. also, australia showed "publisher" amount.
i assume it was the "peak" stat.
After decades of telling parents to blackmail their kids into piosneering and low paying jobs because Armageddon is just around the corner, now they are making it clear that the responsibility to look after the parents belongs to those kids, not the church.
so im reading "why evokution is true" by coyne and the page im on is talking about darwin and natural selection:.
"but natural selection was also the part of evolutionary theory con- sidered most revolutionary in darwins time, and it is still unsettling to many.
selection is both revolutionary and disturbing for the same reason: it explains apparent design in nature by a purely materialistic process that doesnt require creation or guidance by supernatural forces.
If God stole the legs off the serpent in the Garden of Eden, how many of our current snakes are descended from that one common ancestor?
If they are all descended from that snake, how do creationists explain the differences without evolution?
LOL at Billy.
A Dub just handed me that one a couple of days ago. Apparently, God created the 'nice' critters and Satan is to blame for the nasties.
i have to get active.
my wife told me we have hospitality this weekend and i know the jw slingshot mechanism will engage after attendance.
so i have to get ready.
Take it sloooow
Resist the urge to do anything that the WT has warned her to be on the watch for. Especially avoid overload.
Ask a question that is important to her, not you, then let it fester on it's own without any distractions from you.
what made you realize it was time to go?
i've been having health problems for the last few years and instead of any help, i'm listed as spiritually weak and of course associations is only my kids and husband.
all the good jw's have moved to other congregations and are doing well.
Welcome to our nightmare, Angus Beef
The best suggestion I can come up with is to do whatever it takes to keep up the facade of Trooo Believer.
You need to have an exit plan that works for you. Outing yourself as 'weak in the faith' will cut off a lot of options and I recommend saving that for much later, especially as you have kids that may run for the safety of the 'compound' if they know where you are really at.
Shut up for now
Educate yourself
Make a plan
Softly, softly, catchee monkey
let me know your thoughts believers and others too!.

The day god answers my fathers prayers, there'll be 7 billion corpses stinking the place up.
"albert" was 55 years old, and the fifth-born of seven children.
i am the second oldest and babysat him often while he was growing up --- and while i was still at home.. yesterday, albert was out taking his usual morning stroll around his small town, when he collapsed on the sidewalk.
the doctors said it was a heart attack.
Sad news Satinka. My condolenses to you and your family

i have a question.. the conventional wisdom seems to be that to 'convert' a jehovah's witness (or get them to see ttatt) you have to ask questions that they cannot answer and engage with their true personality not their 'cult personality'.. intellectual arguments tend to fall flat because jws (who do not already have personal doubts) believe they already know the absolute truth so anything contrary to that truth is nessecarily wrong.
any criticism of their beliefs will be seen as an attack or persecution and will be dismissed as flawed 'human thinking' or 'apostate lies'.. to 'true believers' any amount of contrary evidence and illogical inconsistencies in their beliefs can be dismissed or explained away.
their starting point is that they have special knowledge of absolute truth and all evidence and arguments are then weighed against this preconceived belief.. here is my question.
I'm not an apostate of any church as I never joined one.
Trying to extract a cult member from any cult using tactics that the leaders have warned them about is pretty much futile. It only has any real chance of working when the member already has doubts.
You have to try and get to them while they are trying to convert you, not when they are trying to protect their delusions, themselves, their families and their fellow cult members from you.
so i've been going to doctors for years with chronic fatigue, a condition i managed ok but which took a drastic nose dive in late 2011 to 2012 to the point where i could barely function.
work was part of the problem, so at the end of that year i left that stressful environment.
but in the meantime, for the last few years i've been going to doctors, specialists, psychiatrists and psychologists and undergoing every sort of blood test you can imagine and seeing all sorts of medical people.
I know someone travelling the same road and suspect that they would come to the same conclusion if they would let themselves consider it.
